I’m really giving this everything I have.
Back when I made the commitment to surf every day for a year, I had an inkling that it would be difficult. I thought I’d definitely make it to day 100, then see how I felt from there. 100 came and went, then halfway, then 200, and now I’m down to under 30 days – with no less than a sprained shoulder.
Countless friends have been there to support me in my one armed state. And every one of them has pulled me aside and asked me to think long and hard about if it’s worth it to keep on, and if it’s worth it to risk everything just to get my day of surf in.
But every day I’ve made it work, and every day I’ve found a way. So I’ll push on. And if my body says “no way,” I’ll stop. So cheers to day 337, cheers to another beautiful day in the water, some helpful hands, and most of all cheers to all the support I’ve had in the last few weeks. Onward.
