Deployment of the Hermosa Beach Police Community Impact Team during late July and early August resulted in 28 e-bike traffic stops, and nine e-bike traffic citations. Parents of the juveniles who were cited were called to the police station to pick up their kids, Police Chief Paul LeBaron told the City Council at its August 8 meeting. During this same period police arrested three juveniles for shoplifting and a felon for e-bike theft.

Hermosa police will participate in a Back-to-School e-bike training program on Wednesday, August 30, and Monday, September 11 at Hermosa Valley School. Students who participate in the program will be issued e-bike tags, which will be required for bringing e-bikes on campus. ER
