Tyler Rodgers, 18, suspect in last Thursday’s throat slashing robbery was arrested last night, police said on Friday.
The attempted murder and armed robbery suspect is in custody at the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
Rodgers allegedly entered Cigar and Smoke Shop in Manhattan Beach last Thursday afternoon carrying a long-barreled shotgun and demanded money from the store clerk.

Surveillance video reveals the suspect and the lone employee – his coworker was out to lunch – then moved into the back room. The suspect allegedly put the victim’s wrists in handcuffs and proceeded to slit his throat. Shortly after, the suspect took a silver cash box and fled. The victim survived.
County records show that Rodgers is being held on $1 million bail and is set to appear in court on Aug. 28 in Torrance.
