Sea Sprite is something of an icon on the Hermosa Beach waterfront. Its walls, owners, and even guests have remained the same for generations. It’s a tried-and-true staple for guests both local and out-of-town, owing to its intimate charm, fully-equipped facilities, and not least, its ideal location.
“There’s nothing we like better than to have someone come in off the road or from a long trip and turn their day around with some good service and a nice, clean room,” general manager James Graham said.
“I work directly with our guests and I’m always available to them. They can get right to upper management for even the smallest issue.”
The 40-room motel, located on The Strand just off the Hermosa Beach pier, has been a Greenwald family operation since 1964.
“We have a friendly atmosphere at The Sea Sprite that attracts people,” Graham said. “Many of our guests are returning customers and a lot of them have been coming here for generations.”
The motel has an outdoor pool and its rooms are equipped with kitchen units.
