Beach girls softball team vies for Western National Championships

Under the tutelage of head coach Ruben Fuentes, Showtime, the Beach Girls Softball League 14U All-Star team posted a record of 2-2, placing 9th in the state at the California B State Championship tournament held in Lancaster.

The results qualified the team for an inaugural appearance at the USA Girls 14U Fast Pitch Western National Championships to be held July 29 – Aug. 4 in Salem, Ore.

Also qualifying was the Torrance team who posted a 3-2 record in the California B State Championship tournament.
