Best of the Beach 2016, Best Asian Fusion: Little Sister

BOB-Logo-2016-Clear-4C-FLAT-189x200Many places serve Asian Fusion, usually a mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean items. Little Sister goes further afield, offering both fusions and authentic renditions that involve Nepalese, Malaysian, and Singaporean dishes. Most diners have little knowledge of some of these and might not know when they’re dealing with a fusion dish or an obscure gem from a regional cuisine. In a way, though, they’re all fusion dishes because they’ve been influenced by Chinese and Indian traders since the medieval era. That was accidental and incremental, while the bold ideas of Chef Tin Vuong bring contemporary and creative vision to the mix. He has made the world quite a bit smaller and brought a big chunk of it to Manhattan Beach. 1131 Manhattan Ave., MB. (310) 545-2096.
