Girl Scouts thank Jefferson Elementary in Redondo Beach

Members of Redondo Beach Girl Scout Troop 16775 are joined by artist Emily Tanaka (right) in painting a mural at Jefferson School two weekends ago. The Girl Scouts, including Cami Douglas, Wrigley Zbyszewski and Mads Lurie are now middle schoolers, but all attended Jefferson. Douglas said the mural is meant to express the Scouts’ appreciation for their years at Jefferson, and also as a welcome back for Jefferson students returning to campus following the pandemic. Yes, we know Easy Reader and EasyReaderNews.com are free. But they are not free to produce. The advertiser model that traditionally supported newspapers is fading away.
