The 411 on 90210 in 90254 — Is the 90210 house for sale?

The 90210 house keeps attracting interest

The Hermosa Strand house where Tori Spelling’s character lost her fictional virginity on the TV show “Beverly Hills 90210” is not – repeat not – on the market.

A handful of national online news outlets have been trumpeting the availability of the 1915 home in northern Hermosa, reporting the asking price as $9 million.

But Realtor Bryn Stroyke said the six-bedroom, five-bath home was taken off the market last year when the owner decided not to sell.

For-sale rumors have appeared in waves since then, Stroyke said, apparently touched off when somebody sees an old listing on the internet and does not realize that it isn’t current.

“This has happened three or four times,” he said.

Stroyke said the for-sale reports have drawn calls from people wanting to lease the home.

The exterior of the house was often seen on the 1990s prime-time soap opera, and the home was the mythic site of an intimate rite of passage for the Spelling character, according to entertainment magazines and a couple of breathless co-workers.

“That’s where Donna lost her virginity,” one said.

“Beverly Hills 90210” focused on the lives of a group of high school students – later college students – living in Beverly Hills. It was nominated for four Golden Globe awards. ER
