Sidewalk Sale
Stores in downtown Hermosa will put their wares outside this weekend for the annual Summer Sidewalk Sale. Participating retailers and restaurants will feature discounts, and there will be live music in front of Stars Antiques and Java Man. The sale is sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau and will run from Friday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Movies and Concerts
This weekend marks the beginning of Hermosa’s Summer Concert Series. The concerts take place Sunday afternoons starting at 5 p.m. all month long south of the Hermosa Pier. This Sunday, rockers the English Beat will perform along with guests Skapeche Mode.
Green business mixer
The Hermosa Beach Green Business Program will kick off with a gathering at Gum Tree next Wednesday evening. The city joined the Green Business Program earlier this year and received a grant to identify and work with businesses that can reduce their environmental footprint and potentially cut costs in the process. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is free, but space is limited. Interested businesses should call (310) 874-2499 to secure a spot.
