Each year League of Women Voters Palos Verdes honors its locally elected officials for their time and effort and expertise. Representatives from the four Peninsula cities, the Palos Verdes Library District and Palos Verdes School District attended as well as Janice Hahn Los Angeles City Council member and Mike Gin the Mayor of Redondo Beach.

The League Committee that planned the event were Elaine Asch, Arlene Block, Barbara Culver, Sally Brown, Linda Herman, Ardith Morningstar, Sandy Pickar, Pat Rome and Judith Webb.
