The Mira Costa Jazz Combo has been invoking the spirit of West Coast Jazz at Pedone’s Pizza and Hermosa Brewing weekday evenings, around the corner from the Lighthouse Jazz Cafe, where West Coast Jazz was born. Performing Wednesday night were keyboard player Aidan Medrano, bassist Max Hughes, drummer Brady Smith and alto saxophonist Max Simpson. Other band members who have been making regular appearances include alto saxophonist Cosmo Liberman, vocalist Sarah Fox, guitarist Nick Balley, drummer Dylan Williams and trumpet player Eva Asiddao.
