Pink hair for officer if RBPD hits donation mark

If the Redondo Beach Police Department raises $5,000 by Sept. 30 for the City of Hope, Officer Kyle Lofstrom turn will dye his hair pink.

He made the commitment for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

In previous years, the police department has participated in the national “Pink Patch Project” by wearing and selling pink police patches and T-shirts.

“This year we’re taking it one step further,” said Lofstrom, in his eighth-year with the RBPD.

To donate, enter the username RBPDPINK in Venmo. For other ways to submit funds, contact Lofstrom at (310) 379-2477, Ext. 2493. ER
