Residential burglary

An unknown suspect broke into a home while it was being fumigated last week, and stole five handguns from the home, police said.

The burglary of the home on the 800 block of 15th Street was reported on Sept. 9, according to police. The house was tented for two days, and it is not clear when within that time period that the theft occurred.

The burglar also made off with an XBox One from the home. Police have no suspects, but did take fingerprints from the scene.

Vehicle theft

A burglar entered a classroom after school had let out at Our Lady of Guadalupe School last Wednesday, taking a computer, a phone and car keys, apparently using the car keys to take a getaway vehicle, police said.

The victim noticed that the vehicle was missing from the school in the 300 block of Massey Avenue about 3:15 p.m., police said. The classroom that had contained the stolen goods was unoccupied and unlocked at the time the theft occurred. ER
