FIREWORKS

The Redondo Beach 4th of July Fireworks America show. Show begins promptly at 9 p.m. and ends at approximately 9:20 p.m. A private party with reserved seating will be held at Seaside Lagoon beginning at 2 p.m. and lasts through the fireworks show. People can purchase tickets for the event at redondofireworks.com.

I AM IRONMAN
While it looks positively insane, the Ironman is a fun way to start the Fourth. Run a mile, paddle a mile in the ocean and then downing a six-pack of beer followed by an after party with a band right on the beach. Spectators, which number a couple of hundred, gather around to cheer and laugh. Then a punk band starts a mosh pit circle. 8 – 11 a.m. (appx.) On the Beach, 22nd Street, Hermosa Beach. Cost is Free. This is an unofficial event with no one stepping forward to claim to be the organizer. Somehow, it just seems to happen. Pre-Register.

RACE

Art Exhibit and Tales of Freedom. Celebrate and enjoy talented artists and true tales of freedom from addictions. We will enjoy Tacos by Antonio, refreshments, live music and live art. Come see amazing pieces of art created specific to the celebration of FREEDOM. 7 – 9 p.m. 1617 S Pacific Coast Hwy., Ste. D, Redondo Beach.
