The Stanley Cup will finally be making an appearance in Redondo Beach next Wednesday to celebrate the Los Angeles Kings’ big win. The 35.25 inch cup, which circulates to each team member throughout their 100 off-season days, will be on display from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Redondo Beach Café, a local hangout for some of the players. The cup will be escorted by broadcasters Jim Fox and Daryl Evans and for a donation to benefit the Kings Care Foundation, fans can take a photo with the cup.

The city wanted to throw a parade in the Kings’ honor, but because of short notice they were unable to schedule it in time. The City Council authorized the use of police officers for crowd control because of the thousands of people who showed up to see the cup in Hermosa Beach in June.

Redondo Beach Café is located at 1511 S. Pacific Coast Highway at the corner of Avenue H and Pacific Coast Highway in the Riviera Village.
