at Fiesta Hermosa

“My High School Rebellion,” featuring members of Black Flag, Woolly Bandits, The Freeze, and Circle One, will highlight the 49th Annual Fiesta Hermosa Beach this Labor Day weekend. The band will perform on the Pier Avenue stage on Saturday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. On Sunday, on the main stage, Sabina Sandoval’s “Free To Be Me Drum Circle” will invite the public to join the drum circle.

The fiesta, hosted by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, from Saturday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.   The fiesta is Southern California’s largest arts and crafts festival, featuring more than 300 vendors and drawing over 100,000 people.

The family-friendly event includes live music, carnival rides, a food court, and beer garden, alongside painters, sculptors, photographers, handcrafters, and jewelers. 

For kids, there is Kiddie Carnival’s 30-foot slide, a Ferris wheel, merry go round, mechanical rides and games. There is also a petting zoo, pony rides, and face painting. 

The Charity Beer & Wine Garden behind Bank of America supports local non-profits and includes a food court. Food trucks will be stationed at the intersection of Pier Avenue and Manhattan Avenue will there will also be acoustic music and shaded tables and seating. 

‘Fiesta de las Artes’ – a 10-booth experiential art zone by the South Bay Artist Collective will be held in the parking lot of Laurel Tavern (1220 Hermosa Avenue) and is sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Kiwanis. There will be interactive opportunities for children, including canvas painting and designing T-shirts. Body painter Paul Roustan will put on an exhibition on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to  2:00 p.m.) Artists Josh Barnes will paint on Sunday and Monday, through the day.. 

The Pacific Stranded’s Daniel Inez is organizing art-focused booths along Pier Avenue.  

Free shuttle buses run to Fiesta Hermosa from the Northrop Grumman parking lot at the southwest corner of Aviation Boulevard and 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach. The pick-up and drop-off location on the venue will be at the intersection of 10th Street and Hermosa Avenue from 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Locals are encouraged to walk or bike to Fiesta Hermosa and use the free bike valet lot at the beach staffed by the South Bay Bicycle Coalition, which offers air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups. Reusable bags are recommended because vendors will not have plastic bags.

Several Chamber members are offering special promotions that attendees can take advantage of by picking up special “Love Our Locals” coupons at the Information booth.
