A master brought to life

“Vermeer and Music: the Art of Love and Leisure” is a big screen, cinematic event showcasing more than half of Johannes Vermeer’s paintings from a new exhibition in London’s National Gallery, and it’s screening at 7:30 p.m. in the South Bay Galleria in Redondo Beach, as well as in Torrance at the Rolling Hills 20 and Del Amo 18 theaters. Two evenings of one-act plays, under the supervision of faculty advisor Ron Scarlata, are performed tonight (Friday) and tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the Campus Theatre at El Camino College, Crenshaw and Redondo Beach boulevards, Torrance. These are: “H.R.” by Eric Coble, “Playwriting 101: The Rooftop Lesson” by Rich Orloff, “Ring of Men” by Adam Oliensis, and “ECC Improv Troupe” by lots of improvisationals. “Ring of Men” “contains adult situations and language.” Shouldn’t they all?
