Michelle Yeaton The Junk Diva
Photography Jessie Lee Cederblom
Michelle Yeaton embarks on weekly treasure hunts for her assemblages of vintage jewelry.
Her love of history dates back decades, leading her to become known as the Junk Diva.
Clients seek out the Junk Diva hoping Michelle’s hands will rehabilitate a worn trinket into something wearable. One did so with her grandfather’s old metals.
Her handmade jewelry carries notes of Victorian and Art Deco. Most have pre ‘50s feel.
“Sometimes, it’s not me finding the pieces. It’s them finding me.”
Yeaton may be reached through Instagram, @thejunkdiva and Facebook – The Junk Diva.
Junk Diva Jewelry is for sale at Stars Antique Market, 526 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach and will be featured at Fullerton’s Gitterfest on March 31.

Yes, we know Easy Reader and EasyReaderNews.com are free. But they are not free to produce. The advertiser model that traditionally supported newspapers is fading away. This is our way of transitioning to a future where newspapers are supported by their readers. Which is as it should be. We hope you’ll support us. — Kevin Cody, Publisher
